About Indiana High School Esports

Indiana High School Esports hosts competitions that are community-focused events, open to participants of all Indiana high schools. We believe that esports should be well supported, not just sitting around and playing video games, and that’s why we have created our competition - it's more than just video games. Take a look at our site to find out more about ways to participate and start playing today!

Kristen Van Laere is a Purdue graduate. Boiler Up! She has over 20 years of experience working in IT. Her career has led her to Jefferson High School, where she currently holds a dual role position, as IT staff and as technology educator. Kristen is competitive by nature, having participated in sports herself. Wanting to provide more opportunities for the students, she started the esports program at the school. The combination of IT and team sports made coaching esports a perfect match for her.
